The next Sin City MINI Club run will be the final tune up prior to AMVIV as we head to Calico Ghost Town on Saturday, 20 February (for those not familiar, it’s off the I-15 just north of Barstow, CA http://www.calicotown.com).
Due to popular demand, we have changed the departure location and time of the Calico run. Rather than launching from Aliante at 0800, we will now depart from the Las Vegas Outlet Mall at 0830. The Outlet Mall is located at the corner of Las Vegas Blvd and Warm Springs. The revised map is here.
Since Calico offers a great location for an overhead group photo, we’re really hoping for a great turnout. Please join us!
As usual, don’t forget to bring your radios tuned to Channel 7 sub 21 (although it’s not required).
Also, be sure to reserve 25 Feb in your calendar for our next Motor In. It will be at BJ’s (9520 S Eastern Ave. Henderson NV)…It’s in the same strip mall as Cars and Coffee.
Thanks!

Change to the schedule! Due to the large number of folks that live on the south/southwest part of town, we’ve decided to change the departure location to the Las Vegas Outlet Mall at the corner of Las Vegas Blvd and Warm Springs.
The meeting point will be in the Mall parking lot just east of the McDonalds which is on the corner.
Since we are now shortnening the trip by leaving much farther south, we are also delaying the launch time to 8:30 AM.

What is a “radio tuned to Channel 7 sub 21″ and can you still go if you don’t own one? My son and I really want to make this our first outing with the club, but I don’t know what that is.
Thank you,
Vicki

The radios are simple two way radios which would allow you to talk with other motorers during the run. Many times, folks may have spares that you could borrow during a run if you didn’t have one.
They are not mandatory by any means, but they can be helpful on more twisty, turny runs where its likely you might get split from the pack. The Calico run is a fairly straight shot down I-15, so you could get by without it.
Hope to see you on the run, Vicki. Happy Motoring

Hey Guys I was so looking forward to this run but unfortunately I will not be able to make it. Will be driving by Calico though on my way to San Jose on Friday the 19th. Hope to see you all at the Motor IN.
