AMVIV is right around the corner, and it all starts for most of you at the bag stuffing. For those who don’t know, this is where we assemble the registration bags for the guests with the swag they ordered as well as freebie coupons provided by vendors etc…
The club will provide lunch in the guise of pizza and perhaps (i forgot to ask) coffee and carbs to get things started off right. It will be at Conny and Ladd Pagan’s Clubhouse at 4803 S Mojave Rd. (hopefully map is below).
Come join us and let’s get AMVIV started off right!
As is tradition, the March Motoring-In is held in conjunction with AMVIV. Previously it was held at the In-N-Out burger near Palace Station, but since AMVIV has moved, so will the Motoring-In. This month it will be 6:30 pm, Thursday, March 25 at the In-N-Out burger located at 6880 North 5th st, one exit east and one block south from Aliante. Hope to see you there!
The AMVIV volunteer list has not filled up like I’d hoped. We still have many openings in the registration and sales booth that need filling and can really use your help. The event is just around the corner…let’s bring it home from third!
Please email me at the VP@ link on the contact page if interested. This is your chance to meet and share the MINI passion with fellow MINI drivers from all over the country.
Thanks!

The British Auto Club of Las Vegas again cordially invites the Mini Club to run in the 3rd Annual St. Patty’s Day Rallye. The Rallye will be Sunday, March 14 at 9:00 am.
This year we are starting from the German-American Social Club on Main Street at Las Vegas Blvd. Breakfast is available there for $5.00 a plate and the first car will go out at 10:00 AM.
Once again we’ll end up at an Irish pub for fun and ceremony. The rallye fee is $10 per car. Not sure about the cost of the food at the Irish pub yet. We’re still working on it. The theme is a Germany to Ireland run with questions about both countries and their beer drinking cultures and the usual ones about landmarks alone the rallye route. Please put out the word and ask interested people to contact me directly at 533-9108. Once again the Murphy Trophy will go to the 2nd place team who will also agree to keep it for a year, add a piece of automotive memorabilia/junk and organize next years event.
This year’s run will be dedicated to the memory of our founding member Ibsen Dow who passed away in October. You might remember Ibsen who had the beautiful white ’59 TR-3 and who contributed a TR badge to the Murphy.
The more the merrier, so please help me get the word out to your club members and help keep the spirit of the event alive and growing into the future.
Thanks,
Doug Sharp

Not to late to volunteer! Still have many openings in the registration and sales booth that need filling. Please email me at the VP@ link on the contact page if interested. This is your chance to meet and share the MINI passion with fellow MINI drivers from all over the country.
Also, the Bag stuffing will begin at 10:00 AM on 20 March at the Clubhouse on Mojave, a short half block north of Tropicana. Can’t miss it, there will be a MINI or two parked there. Hope to see you there. If you haven’t already, please RSVP to me so we have an approximate head count (ordering Pizza for lunch).
Thanks!
